Three-quarters of a million people in the UK suffer from dementia, a number that will rise to over a million in the coming decade. Although usually considered a disease of old age, dementia is not confined to the elderly; it can affect people of any age.

We have invited experts Dr Sue Green, Associate Specialist in Old Age Psychiatry, Dr Emma Tiffin, maple surgery GP and Older People's Mental Health lead in NHS Cambridgeshire, and representatives from the Alzheimer's Society to discuss the issues of diagnosis, treatment and care for dementia sufferers. In addition, Advantage Healthcare, Crossroads Care, Help at Home, Home Instead Senior Care, and Lifecraft will have information stands.

Please join us on Thursday, 26 April 2012, at 6:30 p.m., at the Bar Hill Church.
