printing instructions for leaflets

Leaflets are designed to be printed double-sided on A4-size paper and then folded into thirds.

Each leaflet is a two-page PDF document. The first page of the PDF file contains page 4 of the leaflet, the back and the cover. The second page of the PDF file contains pages 1-3 of the leaflet.

PDF layout

When printed, the cover page should be "behind" page 1, the back page behind page 2 and page 4 behind page 3.

Single-sided printer
You will have to print the first page of the PDF document (page 4, back and cover) on a piece of paper and then hand-feed that printed piece of paper back into the printer to print the second page of the PDF document (pages 1-3). You will have to experiment to see how to orient the paper in the printer in order to make it come out right.
Double-sided (duplexing) printer
Make sure that you have the "short side" or "flip" option checked, rather than the standard long side option, or one side will be upside-down.
General information
The printer should be set to landscape mode.

Once the leaflet is printed, fold it in thirds. Fold page 3 over page 2 and then fold page 1 over what is now page 4 so that the cover is on top.
